What did you think of Breaking Dawn? (*attention:spoilers)?

I'm going to have to go on a bit of a rant. I've read all the books in the Twilight series. The quality of writing is nothing special, but overall the first 3 books were able to hold my attention and were relatively interesting. And then, I came to Breaking Dawn. I must admit I was wholeheartedly disappointed. Not only was the story itself ridiculous, it was as though Meyer re-wrote the characters of Bella and Edward. Meyer is mormon, and I guess Bella is mormon now, too. It's apparent that the book has an underlying message of anti-abortion and sends out messages that aren't exactly healthy for people, especially young girls, to follow. Don't get me wrong, I love Edward, but Meyer writes about how Bella would ''die without him.'' Young girls should have a sense of independence and a life outside of a boyfriend. I felt as though I went from reading a series to a different story altogether. It left me hungry for more, and not in a good way. The book throughout made me anticipate some epic ending, and frankly, I was bored to tears. She could have taken the book in so many directions, and I feel as though she took an easy way out. The main focus of the series ends up being Bella's dilemma between a human and vampire life. It's a decision that has huge sacrifices either way, yet Breaking Dawn is cliched into this fairytale where Bella gets her way in both situations. I think it would have been better for the story if she had to suffer in some way. It sounds weird, I know, but Bella's situation clearly isn't, and never has been, a walk in the park. The way Meyer made everything fall into place just right was a bit too fanciful for me. Overall, I was let down. It's a shame the series had to end on such a lame note.
