Is anyohe else annoyed how the media is shoving this "royal" British wedding crap down our throats?

Every news station is airing this wedding. I don't understand why I can't even catch the local news or weather anywhere. This type of decadence is why I don't live in a monarchy state. As much as we like to complain about America we are not subjected to this kind of 'royal' treatment.
