I have cfw 4.01 m33-2 on psp slim i could get 2 recovery from the xmb.?

from a complete shutdown when i turn on the psp while holdin the R trigger it doesnt go into recovery mode just loads the xmb. i have installed hellcats recovery flasher ...can someone please help me thanx
