How come uk people are suffering the worst with the pound worth very little.?

weve been told how well britain was doing,but always cutbacks,council tax rises,more taxes always take take take,never getting anything back,the only thing britain has got more of is prisons,prisoners,longest sentences,highest fuel prices,someone is ripping us off,surely its time to make a stand,
