Food plot question,please help?

Hey there fellow hunters,happy thanksgiving,I have a food plot question I was hoping you could help me with.I own 20 acres in Northern Michigan and would like to put in a food plot for deer,the problem is that the property is cedar swamp,there are maple birch and poplar on the property but the majority is cedar and hemlock,there is no standing water on the property even after a heavy rain but the ground is spongy,the soil is thick and black and very moist.I do have some shooting lanes cut so the seed getting enough sunlight shouldnt be a problem,Do you think that it is possible to put in a food plot?whould it be very difficult?I live 4 hours from the property so time is an issue with me,any suggestions,thanks
